From now on, apart from spellings, the homework sheets will no longer be printed off for every child. 

Please talk to your class teacher directly if you need a printed copy. 

Please ensure that you listen to your child read at least 3 times a week and record in their homework diaries as these will checked weekly by your child's class teacher.

If your child is already a proficient reader, they are expected to update their reading records themselves, however we request for you to sign their reading records weekly before Friday.

All homework will be set on Monday.

This homework is the final homework that Year 5 will be set this year. Enjoy.

This week all the spellings are all words from the Year 5/6 Statutory Spelling List beginning with G to P . The children only need to practise the spellings they are set for a test on Monday 15th July 2024.

This week's times tables are square numbers. Feel free to use the below sheet to practise in preparation for the test on Friday 5th July 2024.

The maths homework is converting units of length. All children are to answer questions 3 - 7. If they are finding this tricky, start with questions 1 and 2. If you would like a challenge, complete the last 3 questions as well. This is due in Monday 1st July 2024.

Unfortunately, the problems with Cracking Comprehension have not been resolved so please use the extra time to finish off your ILTs - see below.

Finally, in preparation for Year 6, we would like you to complete an Independent Learning Task (ILT). We would like you to research how WW2 impacted upon your family. For more information, see the sheet attached below. This is due in on Friday 5th July 2024.
