Year 5 Netball against St Joseph's

On the 8th February, the Year 5 girls played a match against St Joseph's.

Year 6 Netball Tournament

On Friday 24th November, Year 6 went to a netball tournament at Surrey Sports Park. Once all the Year 6 team had arrived, we did our warm-up. Felicity (our team captain) chose our warm-up and then the game started.

Our first match was 2-1 to the opposition. We weren't too worried about it because we had more than one game to play. The next match was far easier. The result was 3-0 - we were happy about our win and were ready for the next game.

Our next game was against Guildford Grove. We won this with ease. We scored some impressive goals! Our last game was against SEND, which we went on to win. Our scores from all the games we played were added up to give us an overall score. We waited to see if we had got into the semi-finals.

We are extremely proud to announce that we made it into the semi-finals and were playing for third or fourth place. We were so happy we would be playing for a medal. We played against St Joseph's - the score was 1-0 to them in the first quarter. We were panicking but then remembered we had one of our best shooters on the team. The final score was 3-1 to us - we were so happy, we had come third!

Go QE!

Year 5 and 6 Netball Match against St Joseph's

Wednesday 1st November 2023

Mrs Davies asked the Year 5 and 6 netball girls to write a match report following their recent win against St Joseph's.

On Wednesday 1st November 2023, Year 5 and 6 had a netball match against St Joseph's School. The year fives went first, whilst the year six children warmed up on the other court. When the Year 5 team were struggling, the Year 6 team went over and encouraged them by saying "yes, great pass" and "take your time" when they were about to shoot. Year 6 also gave the Year 5 team tips, such as, "find your player" and "find space, see who is open." The Year 5 team went on to win 5-4! We were all SO proud.

Next up was the Year 6 team. The start of the match was tiring, and we felt cold, but once we got into the game it became fun, and we soon warmed up! The first quarter was 1-0 to Saint Joseph's, but in the second quarter we tied, when Frankie scored a hoop!

We were so happy in the third quarter, it was 3-1 to us, but after a bit, St Joseph's scored a hoop which took the score to 3-2! We felt nervous, but we tried our best, and it paid off - we won!! The final score was 5-2 to Queen Eleanor's.

We felt good to have won, but we know even if we don't win it's still fun and just amazing to be able to play with your teammates!

LET's GO QUEEN ELEANOR'S!
